Serving Our World

Disaster Relief

Whenever First Baptist Church has been able, they have responded to those in crisis. Whether it is a local family who lost it all in a house fire, providing relief in the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast, providing assistance for clean up following tornadoes, or taking a mission team to Loveland, CO, to help rebuild following the devastating flood.

Numerous trips were made to South Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina and several were made to the Texas gulf coast following the destruction of Hurricane Ike.

Our church family has also taken trips to assist in clean up following the tornadoes in Moore, OK.

In July 2014, we took a mission team to Loveland, CO.  There we were able to help in the rebuilding of a wall in a local church that was destoryed during the flood waters in the summer of 2013.
