Children

Elementary years are the time when most believers come to faith. It's a time of incredible growth, exploration and fun. At First Baptist, we offer age-appropriate learning for grades one through five to start learning about the plan God has for their lives.

Sunday School

Believers who grew up with Sunday school know it can be a source of some of their fondest childhood memories. Learning activities, stories from the Bible, craft and loving Christian adults taking the time to invest in kids - those are the ingredients of childhood transformation and growing strong character. Loving Christian adults teach God's Word in such a way that it applies to the daily lives of our children.  We group the children by grades in order for the teaching to be age-appropriate educationally as well as spiritually.

Sunday school lessons at First Baptist are centered on topics of God, Jesus, the Bible, Creation, Family, Self, Church, Community, World, the Holy Spirit and Salvation.

Ages: Grades 1 - 5

Time: Sundays 9:45 a.m.

Location: Classrooms throughout campus

Royal Ambassadors

Royal Ambassadors is a Bible-centered mission education organization for boys in grades 1-5.  The R.A. Motto "We are Ambassadors for Christ", not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal.  This Motto is taken from Scripture, specifically 2 Corinthians 5:20.  Boys participate in age appropriate activities as they learn about missions at home and around the world.  R.A's is more than class room activities.  Some of the high interest area are: lock-ins, Texas Ranger Baseball games, camping, missions projects and the highlight is the Royal Race Car Derby.

Girls In Action

Girls in Action (G.A.) is a mission organization comprised of girls from 1st through 5th grade. The girls discover God’s plan and purpose for their lives through the process of learning about, supporting, and doing missions.

The girls work in both small group and large group activities. Group time may include games, mission stories, prayer and other various activities. During the year girls work on World Ventures, an individual achievement plan. A fifth session of a month (happens once a quarter) is used for planning or participating in a ministry project.

There are six World Ventures books that correlate with the continents of the world. Studies range from the life and activities of the native cultures in these various regions to the needs of missionaries also in that region. Upon completing each book, the girls earn a charm bracelet with a charm of the corresponding continents. After completing all six books, they will have a complete bracelet with charms from all the continents.
