Because the ‘First Family of Believers” is an eclectic blend of all ages and backgrounds. First Baptist has opted for a blended style of worship that incorporates the popular contemporary choruses and songs of praise as well as the more traditional hymns of the church. Whatever your background, you will experience a type of music that is both inspirational and emotive. Music for every age group is selected and arranged in a fashion that will point the worshipper God-ward and prepare their hearts to hear the spoken message that God has put on the heart of the Pastor for His people.
The Prime Time Singers is a fellowship-based choral group that performs throughout the year. This group is for anyone fifty-five years of age and older. They share the love of Christ through music at local events and other venues such as rest homes, retirement centers, and public gatherings where they can be of encouragement.

The Made-For-Praise Children’s Music Academy is a group of age-graded choirs for children from pre-school through grade five. They meet each Wednesday afternoon at 4:15 and prepare music for worship services and learn music and drama skills used in their annual Spring Musical.
New Ground is an outreach arm of the Men’s Ministry of First Baptist Church. This group, formed in 1993, uses concerts of Southern Gospel music to reach men with an appeal to become more proactive in being Spiritual leaders in their homes and communities. These men sing on occasion at First Baptist but their ministry is devoted to challenging the un-churched and un-committed men of our world to take back their God-given role of Spiritual leadership. This often involves singing at civic clubs, athletic events, rodeos, and other such gatherings where men can hear and respond to their message.
This group of ladies has performed under several names in the past but whatever they are called, they have always sought opportunities to share their gift of music with groups wherever they have influence. Their genuine love for God is evident as they minister through song.
This handbell ensemble has been playing for the better part of three decades. They ring a four octave set of handbells and perform on occasion in our worship services. You will also frequently hear them play at civic clubs and other local gatherings. They rehearse at 6:00 on Wednesday evenings. It is thrilling to hear and watch these talented musicians use such simple instruments to make such rich orchestral sounds in praise to our wonderful God.
Realizing that we live in a society where learning is becoming more visual, First Baptist uses the medium of drama to convey Biblical truths in a manner than can be easily applied to whatever struggle someone may be facing. They perform at Dinner theaters, have special dramatic skits as a part of worship, and play a large role in the annual Living Christmas Tree.
