The preschool years are foundational to the future growth of children. At First Baptist, we want to help parents build a generation of strong hearts, minds and bodies. Little Disciple Preschool is a Christ-centered educational program that uses Bible stories, music, art, recreation and social activities. Your child will be greeted by our trained staff of caring workers.
The Wee Learn curriculum shows children how to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52). A child’s growth and development is viewed as a process, not an event. Development begins when the child is conceived and continues through life. This guide provides guidance and activities in each unit to help each child develop language, reading, writing, and math skills appropriate to his or her stage of development. The curriculum provides opportunities for children to learn about God’s world and how best to live in it. It is designed to help lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, the church, themselves, family, other and the natural world.
Little Disciples Preschool helps prepare older preschoolers for public school. Little Disciples Preschool uses the Saxon Early Childhood Program. This material is used by many school districts in our state. Many parents feel that this program has help to prepare their preschooler for school.
Both curricula include daily activities in academics, stories, music, centers, snacks, lunch, art, motor skills and rest time.
