Message for November 29—#10 Commandment Summary, "Help for the Heart" (Exodus 20:17):

"The 10th Commandment is entirely different form the other nine. In the 1st Commandment, God makes a total demand on the heart, soul, strength, mind and life of His people. In Commandments 2 through 9, God defines all the areas of life in which He seeks for us to express this devotion and commitment. Then, in this last commandment, He makes another total and radical demand, reminding us if we are going to serve God at all, our faith must be expressed in our attitudes, as well as our actions; in our dispositions, as well as in our deeds; in our inward life, as well as in our outward life. This commandment keeps us from becoming superficial. It is precisely this commandment that led the Apostle Paul to his conversion in Christ."
